Merchant Marine World War II Victory Medal Ribbon
The Merchant Marine World War II Victory Medal is a decoration presented by the United States Armed Forces to recognize service aboard a merchant marine ship for a minimum of 30 days during the period of December 7, 1941 - September 3, 1945. The Merchant Marines transport cargo and personnel during times of peace, and serve as an accessory to the Navy and assist in delivering supplies and goods to military operations during times of war.
