This case provides double duty, protecting your iPad® from the wear and tear of daily use, and providing a hands-free viewing platform for your multimedia content. The polycarbonate shell gives an extra layer of shock protection, while the leatherette cover provides comfort and style.
The case/stand can prop up your iPad into a near vertical landscape orientation for multimedia content viewing or into a slightly angled, ergonomic typing position. The cover is lined with a soft felt material, which provides a soft cushion of protection for the finish of your new iPad. The cover also features a magnetic latch, which both keeps the cover shut and automatically turns your iPad on when it is opened and off when it is closed.
Note that the iPad Cover Lock / Unlock option is not enabled by default. The option is located by pressing the Home button, then choosing Settings > General. However, the option will not be visible until you actually attach the magnetic cover to the iPad. Alternatively, you can use a small refrigerator magnet to simulate a magnetic cover, thereby allowing the option to become visible.
The cover has cutouts for the connectors, camera lens, and controls.
