Cypress Oil is known as Cupressus sempervirens has a woody spicy and masculine smell. The colorless oil is crafted from the conical-shaped perennial tree traditionally used for building ships and houses. Legends say that the cross of Jesus was crafted of cypress wood, and its botanical name sempervirens suggests that the tree, (and the savior) "lives forever".

Cypress is considered a non-toxic and non-irritant oil which makes it perfect for blending with a carrier oil for skin or massage use. Cypress can be used in soaps and deoderants, or included with your daily skin regimen as an astringent. Add a few drops of Cypress oil with epsom salts to your bath for a soothing soak.

Cypress, whsn used in a diffuser or on the skin may help to reduce feelings of irritability. It is also a vasoconstrictor which is helpful in reducing the inflammation associated with hemmorhoids or vericose veins and may help with respiratory support.
