Details: 2 lbs of Horticultural Grade LECA clay pebbles by xGarden. Gardeners use LECA clay because of it's flexibility. Expanded clay is created when clay is super-heated and trapped air creates thousands of tiny holes in the clay. This allow water to be easily absorbed by the pebbles and retained for later use. LECA clay is great for use as a soil additive, a soil replacement (most commonly with orchids), or a decorative layer at the rim of indoor or outdoor garden pots which also helps the soil retain moisture. The most common application for LECA clay are hydroponic and aeroponic systems. The clay holds water so that roots stay aerated and healthy. Suitable for use in all types of systems includes Deep Water Culture, Ebb and Flow (Flood and Drain), Drip Feed Systems, NFT (Nutrient Film Technique), and Aeroponic.
