United States Army 82nd Cavalry Regiment Unit Crest (Temeritas)

Criteria: This item is the unit crest of the 82nd Cavalry Regiment. The unit's motto, "Temeritas," is emblazoned across the bottom scroll and translates as, "Temerity." The color yellow alludes to the unit's Cavalry designation. The chevron's commemorate the unit's two assault landings in World War II. The sea lion and stars refer to the unit's Philippine service. Also called distinctive unit insignia, this item is made for wear on the Army Dress Blue (ASU) Uniform.
