United States Army Corps of Engineers Command Unit Crest (Essayons)

Criteria: This item is the unit crest of the Corps of Engineers Command. The command's motto, "Essayons," is emblazoned near the top of the design and translates as, "Let Us Try." The eagle, representing the United States, holds the motto in its beak above a tower adapted from the Engineers Branch Insignia. The colors scarlet and white are the colors of the Corps of Engineers. Also called distinctive unit insignia, this item is made for wear on the Army Dress Blue (ASU) Uniform.
