Inspired by Michael Jordan’s alma mater, the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘UNC’ carries a classic two-tone composition, filtered through Virgil Abloh’s unique design prism. The process involves taking a white leather base with dark powder blue overlays and adding embellishments that convey an expressive, handmade quality. They include detached Wings, a floating Swoosh, and lines of text on the medial-side quarter panel delineating the taxonomy of the shoe.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid ‘Chicago Black Toe’ draws inspiration from the sneaker’s 1985 roots. The distinctive color blocking is reminiscent of the OG ‘Chicago’ colorway, applied to a mid-top silhouette and revised with a black finish on the perforated toe box. Jumpman branding adorns the woven tag stitched onto the padded white nylon tongue, while a classic Jordan Wings logo is stamped in black on the lateral collar flap.
Inspired by Air Jordan 1 colorways, the OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'White' 2018 is a reimagination of its 'Chicago'-themed predecessor. Designed by Virgil Abloh, the model features an all-white premium leather and mesh upper with deconstructed Swoosh branding and blue detailing, and Wings logos on the ankles.
