This is another excellent (and we do mean excellent) SADF surplus item. We’ve seen a lot of military hats come through our warehouse, but nothing is quite like the “bush” hat. This is the first “recce”-style cap we’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing for any period of time (and boy have we enjoyed them).

The cut of the bush hat is similar to the boonie we all know and love, except the brim is stiff, downward sloping, and slightly oval. This shape offers the unique benefit of thoroughly breaking up the silhouette of the wearer while noticeably increasing the level of sun protection afforded to the neck and face. The thicker, angled brim also handles rain and foul weather without bending or blowing away, and it is easily stowed with snaps on the sides of the hat.

• Semi firm moldable brim
• Heat venting rings in hat and brim
• Webbing lines base of lid, fits cigars and fingers well
• Both sides of brim can snap upwards to lid of hat

Sizing

Measure the widest circumference around the top of your forehead where the lip of the hat would rest.

Condition

All hats are unissued and still in the original plastic packaging.
