This remarkable solid wood Aron Kodesh is hand carved and gold brushed throughout. The first ten letters of the Hebrew alphabet were also hand carved, guild painted to represent the ten commandments. The sides of the Torah Ark feature handmade borosilicate (pyrex) coloured glass inlays representing the Twelve Tribes of Israel. Heavy duty, hidden mortise inlayed brass hinges. The top bears hand carving from prayer where one can hang the parochet (curtain) in front of the doors.
