Is it safe for health?

Common brushes and sponges, even when thoroughly cleaned, are the favorite home of several nasty bacterial populations, though not all of them are dangerous. Some common sponges contain silver chloride to inhibit the proliferation of bacteria, which in large quantities is toxic to humans.

How do they impact the environment?
